Imperial Chinese Dragon Armor Set CT66

Description

A rare 19th century Imperial Qing Chinese suit of armour.
A superb fine example with gold gilt dragon metal parts and stud.
The dragons on the main body are of gold-wrapped thread held down with couching stitches.
It is decorated with 6 dragons roundels, lion front plate, gold gift metal dragons stamped shoulder plates and front metal heart mirror. 
This suit of armour is completed with 8 pieces. 
Overall in excellent condition and strong bright colour.
Full silk liner. All original with some stains.
Absolutely high end museum level and in excellent condition.
Very minor loose thread and wears mostly on the edge of the lion plate.
Large size jacket about 77cm x 200cm and skirt about 82cm x 114cm.
Great investment piece.
