Imperial Chinese Kesi Dragon Robe CT62

Description

A very Rare and Beautiful Imperial Chinese dragon robe. I was told this robe was hand woven by REAL AUTHENTIC Kesi technique during mid 19th century Qing dynasty. The unique characteristics of kesi technique and the gold, silver, blue silk thread that was used to weave this robe can be seen on the last picture. There is 9 dragons woven in pursuit of pearls among silk clouds, bats, and Daoist symbols above wave and rock band. Complete red silk original lining. Excellent workmanship with very high skill technique. Wonderful bright strong color in very good condition.  Very minor wear and tear, and small repairs hardly noticeable. Overall a very nice and intersting 150 years old example as can be seen in the pictures .  Robe measures 170cm x 128cm.
